Licensed Land Surveyor

Rouse-Sirine Associates, Ltd, a local land surveying and underground utility locating company, is seeking a Virginia Licensed Land Surveyor with 5 years or more experience. A strong technical background with boundary and right-of-way calculations is also preferred. Ability to manage office staff and survey crews is required. Preferred candidate would be self-motivated and have project management experience with the ability to complete each work task required for projects, including field work, CAD work, budgeting and client contact or communication.

  • Qualifications must include professionalism, business management, office and computer skills, estimating and proposal preparation, excellent communication skills and AutoCAD capabilities.

  • Our firm also desires exceptional marketing skills to continue our growth in the region. 

  • Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.

Survey/AutoCAD Technician
RSA is currently a highly motivated individual to fill an open position. The successful candidate must have 2+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience in a land surveying/civil engineering related related field. MircoStation experience is a plus. The major objectives are:

  • Knowledge and understanding of land surveying

  • Ability to read, understand, and calculate plats

  • Quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity) of work and meeting deadlines

  • Develop and prepare drawings, plans, diagrams, and layouts in the area of residential subdivision, commercial development, and municipal infrastructure

  • Conduct quality control checks of design drawings

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and attention to detail essential

  • Good organizational, prioritizing and time management skills

  • Willingness to work overtime when required

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team

  • Knowledge of courthouse research

  • Knowledge of GIS-based files
