Virginia Natural Gas - Hampton Roads Crossing (HRX) Pipeline
RSA provided all surveying and mapping services associated with the construction of a 21-mile, 24-inch natural gas pipeline to connect VNG’s northern and southern non-contiguous systems. The system is separated by the Hampton Roads Harbor and Elizabeth River. The $60 million project includes construction of approximately 6.5 miles of water crossings by horizontal directional drill (HDD) and trenching/plowing methods and approximately 14.5 miles of on-shore pipeline. The project will also include approximately 12 to 15 HDD crossings, spanning from 1,000 to 7,300 linear feet in length.
